I love to know the story behind people’s art, it grants us a window into their soul and reminds us that we are not alone in this world.
So today I share my story behind “Rainy Day Bunny”.
We see Lil Bunny in a downcast state,
A day when the gloom and heaviness seem too overwhelming.
We don’t know the cause perhaps its
grief
anxious thoughts
Failure, again.
whatever it is, it feels like an endless and hopeless situation.
Lil Bunny sits alone,
lost in the depths of his grey day.
One of the big lies about grey days are that they will last forever.
Lil Bunny believes that this day will last forever.
But the truth is,
the storm will pass.
Eventually the skies clear
and Lil Bunny looks up.
He remembers he is not alone and there is a beautiful world around him.
There is hope.
I am Lil Bunny, Jesus is the Little Girl.
Today if you feel like Lil Bunny, let me be the one to tell you, this won’t last forever.
You are not alone.
Jesus is here.
Even in my art, I could not leave Lil Bunny in his sad state.
Because I know through experience Jesus always comes to lift my head,
Maybe through friend,
Maybe in a song,
Maybe in the warmth of the sunshine
If you are in a grey day today,
be encouraged you are loved and you are not left alone.
Jesus is here.
And if you are in the warmth of a sunshine day,
bask in it
He is here too.
